Rocketship Education Is Quickly Becoming A Pioneer In The Educational Community Showing Off Exceptional Student Growth

In the majority of public schools around the country, there is a method of evaluating a students growth over a period of years, known as value-added scores. This shows how much a student is learning over a given period of time, but it does not take into account where a student started in the first place. This means that students that are performing below grade level are most likely going to stay that way. At Rocketship Education public charter schools, students are assessed using a different method, known as MAP. This makes it easy to determine a student’s overall growth over a period of time, based on where they started from and their rate of progress.

Today, Rocketship Education has many charter schools spread out throughout the state of California, and various other schools that are making their way into new states and communities. Milwaukee and Nashville have many Rocketship schools improving the quality of education for thousands of students. In the year 2017 alone, Rocketship Education was serving more than 25 thousand students, most of which come from low-income homes. Despite that, this schooling system is within the top 10 percent of all public schools in the country today. This proves that talent and growth is not a matter of coming from a wealthy area, but a matter of receiving a quality education.

Rocketship schools work hard to build an engaging curriculum that helps students reach the maximum of their potential. Standard curriculum as well as one-on-one tutor training helps every student stay at the appropriate grade levels in the case they fall behind in any subject. Today, Rocketship Education charter schools have been recognized worldwide for their standards and level of education that is being made available to students of all backgrounds. As far as Elementary schools go, more parents are finding the benefits of giving their students higher learning opportunities that are available at Rocketship. Some of the highest testing scores in the country have come out of Rocketship charter schools, beating out the majority of wealthy districts.
