Tobias Jaeger, the entrepreneur with a passion in the entertainment industry
Tobias Jaeger is an entrepreneur and founder of AXIOM Venture Capital, a boutique advisory firm situated in Berlin, Germany with satellite operations in Los Angeles, London, and Amsterdam. The firm’s focus is in entertainment transactions. It helps in the raising and facilitation of growth capital to entertainment firms that are renowned for their production of outstanding film content. Tobias has a wife and one son, they all reside in Berlin.
From a young age, Tobias Jaeger has been entrepreneurially minded. He started his first company, Business Associate Europe, while he studied at Maastricht University, Netherlands in 2007. The company was aimed at the delivery of innovative business models through consultations with various companies. University students would provide in-depth study support to a portfolio of top companies both inside and outside Netherlands.
After his instrumental launch of AXIOM Pictures, the first ever entertainment equity fund based outside Europe, Tobias Jaeger got the idea of AXIOM Venture Capital. As the Managing Partner, Tobias heads the M&A advisory department together with the Corporate Financial department of AXIOM Venture Capital. The company helps in finding the right investor for upcoming media and entertainment entrepreneurs and vice versa.
Tobias loves chatting with people. It is through his random connections with people around the world that he has managed to get great opportunities for his business. He believes that talking to people no matter how pointless it may appear is a great way for giving back to the society and to be given some piece of advice. Talking to people is also a way to increase your chances of getting good referrals, that’s according to Tobias. He is normally interested in what people do to earn a living, how he can be of help to them and how they can be of assistance to his business.
After his service in the German Armed Forces in 2006, Tobias co-founded the Support German Troops. This non-governmental and non-political citizen leadership initiative is aimed at creating awareness and accumulating support German Armed Forces troops. The movement has a fan base of over 50 thousand on social media. They have been able to raise hundreds of thousands of Euros in the support of armed forces families who are in Germany.
Tobias loves traveling, he has worked, visited, lived and studied in over 43 countries. He can speak German, French, English, Italian, Dutch and Spanish. He regularly contributes to WirtschaftTV, a business news network found in Germany, on events and developments that are taking place in the industry of media and entertainment.
